The Sean Treacy Memorial Swimming Pool in Tipperary Town is offering an exciting opportunity this summer for individuals to train as certified lifeguards and swimming instructors. These professional-level courses aim to address staffing needs at local aquatic facilities and equip participants with valuable life-saving skills.

Organized in association with Water Safety Ireland, the programs are designed for both beginners and experienced swimmers looking to step into instructional or safety roles at public and private pools.

• Pool Lifeguard Course

  ? 7:45 a.m. 4:00 p.m. daily

• Assistant Swimming Teacher Course
  ?? June 30th July 5th

• Full Swimming Teacher Course

? Entry Requirements

• Minimum Age:

  • Lifeguard Course: 16+

  • Teacher Courses: 18+

• Swimming Proficiency:

  • Swim 100 meters on both front and back

  • Swim 50 meters in under 60 seconds

  • Surface dive to a minimum depth of 1.5 meters
