The Physio Movement (TPM), Townsville’s premier physiotherapy and sports performance clinic, is currently hiring a vibrant and professional front-of-house receptionist. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, personable, and passionate about healthcare to join a multidisciplinary team that is redefining excellence in patient care.

About The Physio Movement (TPM)

Located in the heart of Townsville’s CBD, TPM is more than just a physiotherapy clinic. We are a centre for integrated health solutions, providing services that span physiotherapy, chiropractic care, exercise physiology, and elite sports performance. Our reputation for outstanding results is built on a collaborative and client-focused model that empowers every individual to reach their full health potential.

At TPM, we practice what we preach. Our clinicians are driven by a love for health and wellbeing, and our clinic thrives on positive energy, commitment, and shared success. This culture extends to every corner of our practice—from our treatment rooms to the front desk. Now, we’re inviting you to become part of that vision.

Your Role as a Front-of-House Receptionist

The front-of-house receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our practice. More than just greeting clients, you are the first and lasting impression of TPM. You will be the welcoming face and friendly voice that supports our team and facilitates an exceptional experience for every patient who walks through our doors.

We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, professional, and dedicated to delivering outstanding service. Your role requires you to juggle multiple responsibilities, maintain a calm and courteous demeanor under pressure, and embody the high standards of care and professionalism that TPM is known for.

Key Responsibilities

Your core duties will include:

  • Managing the clinic’s daily administrative tasks with professionalism and efficiency

  • Providing a warm and welcoming environment for patients and visitors

  • Handling bookings, payments, and invoicing via HICAPS, EFTPOS, and NDIS platforms

  • Monitoring business inventory and coordinating supply orders

  • Upholding the confidentiality of client and staff information at all times

  • Maintaining clear communication with clinicians and management

  • Helping to enforce and follow clinic policies and procedures

  • Supporting a team culture of motivation, positivity, and excellent service

You will need to be comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Flexibility, a strong work ethic, and an ability to think on your feet will ensure you thrive in this role.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Attributes:

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • A genuine passion for helping people

  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment

  • Strong computer skills, especially on Mac operating systems

  • Ability to prioritise and multitask under pressure

  • A professional and courteous attitude toward clients and team members

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Prior experience in a medical or allied health setting

  • Familiarity with Cliniko software and Medicare programs

  • Previous administrative roles in a physiotherapy or healthcare environment

If you bring previous healthcare experience, that’s a bonus—but we are just as interested in your attitude, energy, and commitment to providing exceptional service.

Position Details

We are currently offering both part-time (30 hours per week) and full-time positions, providing flexibility to suit your lifestyle and career goals. Remuneration will be based on your experience and the value you bring to our team. Ongoing support, development opportunities, and a welcoming workplace culture come standard with the role.

Joining TPM means becoming part of a passionate team dedicated to transforming lives through movement and recovery. Whether you’re assisting a long-term client or welcoming a first-time visitor, your role is integral to creating the exceptional care experience TPM is known for.
